This time Danny K didn’t have to shout it out – a simple “I do” sufficed.
Danny Koppel, better known as Danny K of the Shout campaign, and Lisa Gundelfinger tied the knot on Sunday at a ceremony held at the Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West.
Danny’s close friend and co-founder of Shout, Kabelo Mabalane, was the best man.
About 350 guests, who included musicians, artists, socialities and media personalities, attended.
Guests included singer Kurt Darren Ed Jordan, socialite Edith Venter, radio personality Elana Afrika and friend Yusuf Abramjee.
“It was a five-star wedding. The newly-weds are such a good match. They looked real happy,” Abramjee said.
The rabbi who conducted the ceremony applauded Danny and Lisa, saying they had given of their time to make SA safer. “True and proud South Africans” is how he described the couple.
The bride’s father is well-known divorce lawyer Billy Gundelfinger. Lisa is an advocate.
“When Danny and Lisa decided to get married we decided to put a list together. The list was over 800, but we cut it down to close family and close friends – so you are all on the A-list,” Gundelfinger told the guests.
You magazine has rights to the wedding pictures and proceeds from the sales will go to charity. White balloons were released at the end of the ceremony.
