IT’S almost time for one of the hottest cruise parties featuring South Africa’s top entertainment acts.

Departing Durban for the Portuguese Islands in Mozambique from November 28 to December 1, the Oh Ship 3 cruise, captained by DJs Fresh and Euphonik, is powered by Savanna, 5FM and DStv. The 72-hour cruise party which includes non-stop music, dancing and revelry, will feature Fresh, Euphonik, Mi Casa, DJs Roger Goode, Sphectacula, Naves, Poppy, Fix, Ms Cosmo, Kent, Milkshake, Rob Forbes, Ryan the DJ and Wags.

Also part of the line-up are comedians Loyiso Madinga, Tats Nkonzo and Thapelo “Tips” Seemise.

For those not so familiar with these guys, Madinga performed at the Nando’s International Comedy Festival and less than a year later, was nominated at the Comics’ Choice Awards in the Newcomer category. He has also performed at Comedy Central’s Live at Parkers, the Blacks Only show and at Carnival City. This year he became the Savanna Comic’s Choice Best Newcomer, began writing for Loyiso Gola’s Late Nite News and was hand-picked for Trevor Noah’s NationWild! Having seen Madinga at Noah’s show, it’s evident he has a bright future.

Nkonzo fuses music and comedy across multiple platforms. He walked away with the Comics’ Choice Awards in 2011 and 2012 for Newcomer of the Year and Breakthrough Act of the Year, respectively. On screen, you’d know him as the host of SA’s Got Talent.

And then there’s Thapelo Seemise aka “Tips” (Thru Inspiration People Succeed). This stage performer is also a trained contemporary dance choreo-grapher and comedian.

On the Comedy Central Africa website, it states that Seemise worked at the 2002 World Summit as a presidential tour guide and in 2006, graduated as a dancer and choreographer from the Johannesburg Dance Foundation while working as a dancer and comedian part time.

With a line-up of non-stop entertainment, this experience is sure to be rocking one.
