Controversial but popular RnB and hip hop star, Chris Brown, will make his way back to Durban’s shores again this year as part of his X album tour.

Show organisers, East Coast Radio announced today that the Grammy award winner would jet into Durban after his Johannesburg performance and was set to perform at People’s Park, Moses Mabhida Stadium, on April 4.

The album sees Brown teaming up with Usher, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross and Tyga.

“I want everyone to take a journey with me through X,” said Brown.

“We’re going to experience the highs and the lows, the love and the pain.”

The Loyal hitmaker last came to Durban in October 2012.

His visit ignited much outrage because of his vicious 2009 attack on his girlfriend, pop star Rihanna.

He has since committed to rehabilitation and community service.

Rihanna had also forgiven him for the assault. Activists were not so accepting of his actions and protested against his performing in the country.

Tickets are available at www.ticketpro.co.za

Prices are R1 100 for Golden Circle tickets and R690 for general access.
