The Marriott Classics

St Agnes Auditorium (Tonight)

COMMONLY referred to as South Africa’s premier orchestra, the KwaZulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra (KZNPO) will perform in The Marriott Classics in Kloof

at St Agnes Auditorium tonight.

The evening is presented by Christopher Duigan’s Music Revival in association with the KZNPO (pictured) and sponsored by Marriott.

According to a press release, the event sees the KZNPO and featured soloists under the baton of young American conductor, Daniel Walshaw.

The soloists will be Boris Kerimov (cello), Njabulo Madlala (baritone) and Duigan (piano).

In response to many requests for a concert hall performance in the region by the KZNPO, Classics in Kloof will provide the magic of a 60-piece orchestra in full flight.

Their programme will include In the Steppes of Central Asia by Borodin, Finlandia by Sibelius and the Overture to Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss II.

• Don’t miss the KZNPO’s performance tonight at St Agnes Auditorium, 53 Abelia Rd, Kloof. Starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets: R100 to R140 at www.webtickets.co.za.
