Toni Braxton & Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds’ African tour

THIS weekend, music lovers are in for a treat as R&B legends Toni Braxton and Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds’s African tour is finally here.

Each artist will perform their own shows with songs from their catalogues of classics for the first time in Durban on Sunday at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Babyface is an 11-time Grammy Award winner who has no less than 130 Top 10 R&B and pop hits to his name, 43 No 1 R&B hits and 55 Top 10 pop hits.

Over the course of Braxton’s storied career, she has earned a total of seven Grammy Awards and sold more than 66 million records worldwide. Her 2014 collaboration with Babyface, Love, Marriage & Divorce, debuted at No 4 on Billboard’s Top 200 and No 1 on the R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart. It went on to win a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. Also taking place on Sunday is the Sundowner Benefit Concert for Durban musician, Keith Bodsworth, who is in hospital undergoing treatment for cancer. The benefit concert takes place at Zack’s, Wilson’s Wharf. There will be no set cover charge, but collection boxes will be set out. – Tonight Reporter
