GIG OF THE WEEK:

Kendrick Lamar’s SA Tour

Wavehouse (Tonight)

FANS across South Africa are probably going crazy with excitement as the Kendrick Lamar SA Tour is finally here. In association with Miller Boomtown, the artist will perform material from his platinum-selling album good kid, m.A.A.d city tonight at the Wavehouse, Gateway.

The self-professed “King of New York”, the Compton-born rapper has made a huge impact on the rap world over the past few years.

According to a press release, he was crowned the Hottest MC in the Game by MTV.

And it looks like the 26-year-old is taking the scene by storm with his clever rhymes and forward-thinking attitude. He is young, he is fresh, he is ready and destined to change the game as we know it.

“Who better to align the beer with a fresh take on things than the freshest MC on the globe right now, Kendrick Lamar?” says Miller Genuine Draft’s marketing manager, Carmen Hobbs.

Fans can also look forward to a collaboration featuring the best of our local hip hop talent. Line-up will be announced at the concert.
