GANGS OF BALLET Farewell To Hardus Tour

Live – The Venue (tomorrow)

Gangs of Ballet, who have made Durban and the country proud over the years, will bid farewell to their bass player Hardus De Beer tomorrow night with a gig at Live – The venue with support acts Mickey Burns and Yorke.

Gangs of Ballet is comprised of Brad Klynsmith (vocals, electric guitar), Jonathan Rich (keyboard, synth), De Beer (bass guitar) and Josh Klynsmith (drums, vocals).

A press release states that last year, Gangs Of Ballet won an MTV Africa Music Awards for Best Alternative act and received five South African Music Awards for Best Duo/Group, Best Newcomer, Best Rock Album, Best Producer and Best Engineer.

Originally formed as a side-project, Gangs Of Ballet came into official existence at their debut gig, opening for aKing in April, 2011. The press release goes on to say that the band were asked to open for Switchfoot at the Joburg leg of their tour in August, 2012, and were chosen as the support act for Civil Twilight on their nationwide tour in December, 2012.
