GIG OF THE WEEK

Sound of Light

With headline act Robin Schulz (Tonight)

Durban Neon Run

(Tomorrow)

PARTY-goers are in for a wild weekend with two of the hottest events tonight and tomorrow.

East Coast Radio and MTV present German DJ Robin Schulz in Durban tonight as he headlines the Sound of Light event at the Wavehouse.

Then, tomorrow, Durbanites can get ready for the epic Neon Run at Suncoast Casino featuring 5FM DJs.

But for tonight’s gig, audiences can expect a night like no other.

A press release says Sound of Light is based on light, where DJs capture the essence of what music looks like with an international standard production that will blow your mind. The release also says Schulz’s remix of Lilly Wood & The Prick’s Prayer in C has achieved No 1 on the iTunes charts in 27 countries and was in the Top 10 on iTunes in 36 countries. In Germany, Schulz held the No 1 position in the single charts, the iTunes charts, the Amazon MP3 charts, the dance charts, the Shazam charts, the streaming charts and the Spotify harts, breaking all records.

Schulz is the first German artist whose track achieved the No 1 spot in the Worldwide Shazam charts. – Tonight Reporter
