GIG OF THE WEEK

Da L.E.S and friends

Moloko, Pretoria

(tonight)

WHENEVER you see Ciroc vodka in a music video, it is easy to think of P Diddy. He has done so much placing of the product on his material, it is obvious he has a business deal with the company.

Now there is a local version of the same situation. Rapper Da L.E.S has jumped into a business deal with Ciroc Vodka and they organised his recent all-white party, which was a success.

If you weren’t able to attend, do not despair. There is another opportunity for you to catch Da L.E.S in action tonight at Moloko (525 Duncan Street, Pretoria).

After the success of his album Mandela Money, Pretoria will get to catch the swag-alicious ex-Jozi rapper at the height of his powers. Although his seemingly constant companion AKA is not on the bill, there is a good chance he’ll be in the building for a surprise performance.

Another person to look out for will be DJ Dimplez, the DJ Khaled of South Africa. With hit songs like Yaya, 2015 certainly looks

like it’s going to be his year. Like Khaled, Dimplez does not really rap, but he is an amazing producer.

Also on the line-up is Queen B and Bonang Matheba, who is part of the Ciroc Circle. She will most likely be hosting the event or simply adding a touch of sophistication.

Designer David Tlale will also make it to the gig and, like Bonang, he is glam in motion. – Munya Vomo
