Pam’s booty trap

Former Rhythm City star and recording artist Pam Andrews is moving to Europe - perhaps to escape the heat from Anele Mdoda and disapproving fans.

On her Instagram, the singer, who was once a contestant on the Coca Cola Pop Stars talent search, explained that she was moving to colder climes in support of her husband’s new business venture. But one would be forgiven for thinking the timing is all-too-convenient, given the reviews of her latest offering, which have been brutal enough to scare away any artist.

Highveld 94.7 radio DJ Anele was scathing in her criticism of Andrews’ new music video YEAH, which premiered last week. The music video features Andrews wearing so little clothing, not even the moody lighting could disguise the occasional nipple slip.

Said Mdoda: “Song so poor not even the nudity will get talk. Also, she is hitting an industry that is about talent this year. She can try again next year.”

Pam’s fetish for wearing very revealing clothing in both her Instagram photo shoots and at red carpet events has largely overshadowed her attempt to gain a foothold in the music industry. Many who viewed her video for YEAH! were in complete agreement with Ndoda, with one commenter likening the video to a porn movie. Quite a number of Youtube viewers lambasted Andrews and described her new song as “garbage”.

Responses from YouTube viewers:

Julia Makanyane: All that was missing was a penis,to complete this porn movie,i mean video!! as a woman there's no ways i'm gonna support such nonsense, sex sells to guys! i'm good.Pam is always doing the same ish, pulling the no clothes stunts,it just shows the lack of confidence in your own music (Boring)

Foxy vD: Totally horrible! Was there a shortage of words? Really not a good video at all. Try to be original, and do not try to compete with the outside world. It's not working for you Pam. This looks like a low budget effort.

Leethan Campbell: What a disgrace to the music industry !!! cover up you have a child !! should've stayed in rhythm city

Lawrence Mokobi: Why resort to singing..... Just keep taking them clothes off and wiggling that body, we'll buy the DVD. Maybe not buy, perhaps an illegal download. don't think people will want to pay for that....#personal opinion

Malepeli Malataliana: OMG!! Three words for this: HO-RRI-BLE!!! It's like a mixture of Rihanna gone wrong and a witch from some horror movie!

mpho velly: The song...naaaaaa!!! The vid....”yeaaahhh” Played it on mute

Muzikafelis Mngxongo ka Sophitshi: Horrible music video. but the track is nice

cansuelo: Can someone take this beat and produce a song please!! This is a wasted beat in need of lyrics.

mce644: See...our society will always find fault. Same thing has always been said about Kwaito about being repetitive or how terrible Justin Bieber's music is. well folks look at all those critics while terrible singers are getting all the views on youtube, publicity, interviews and money for their terrible music.
