Hip hop artist Vic Mensa has accused Noel and Liam Gallagher of being racist for criticising rap music.

The 22-year-old American rapper has slammed the former Oasis stars for complaining about Kanye West and Jay Z's Glastonbury headlining slots, he believes the rock 'n' roll brothers only blasted their performances at because of the colour of their skin.

In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, Vic said: "I saw they were mad Kanye played Glastonbury. They were mad when Jay Z played too. Feels very racist to me."

The rapper - who collaborated with Kanye on his new single 'U Mad' - continued to say he rejects their arguments the festival should be reserved for rock music, because the 'Power' hitmaker carries "the spirit of rock 'n' roll" - something Noel and Liam should appreciate.

He explained: "They're (Noel and Liam) gonna say, 'No it's not about race, it's about rock 'n' roll', but I mean like, how many people do you feel are carrying the spirit of rock 'n' roll in 2015? Would you not say that 'Yeezus', and a song like 'Black Skinhead', is carrying the spirit of rock 'n' roll? I can't understand how that's not f***ing rock 'n' roll."

And although he claims he likes their music and doesn't want an argument with the brothers, he branded them "ultimate d**kheads".

He added: "I had a little thing where I said: 'F**k one of the Gallagher brothers' on Twitter, and I was getting posted on blogs for 'starting a beef' or something. I mean, whatever. Those guys are legends, but also d**kheads. Ultimate d**kheads."

Despite Vic's accusation, Noel, 48, was very complimentary about Kanye's headlining performance at Glastonbury this year, which drew massive criticism on Twitter,

Noel previously told NME.com: "I thought for half an hour it was f***ing outrageous. It looked amazing on my iPad, I have to say. For 30 minutes I thought, 'Wow, this is f***ing truly amazing.

"Then, like most hip hop gigs, after 45 minutes you're going, 'I want something else now'. But for half an hour it was as f***ing good as it gets."
