Mark Ronson has reportedly hired a 100-acre estate in Oxfordshire for his 40th birthday bash.

The 'Uptown Funk' hitmaker is expected to be celebrating the milestone along with his showbiz pals at the luxury Soho Farmhouse in Chipping Norton, England on 3 September and plans on taking his VIP guests to Festival No.6 in Portmeirion, North Wales afterwards where he is set to DJ and a source has shared how it will be “the party of the year”.

The source revealed to The Sun newspaper: “It's going to be the party of the year. Mark is one of the most well-connected men in music and has invited the great and the good of his showbiz pals.

“He's had one of the greatest years of his career and wants to top it off with a party no one will forget.”

Soho Farmhouse is exclusively a members only club deep in the Oxfordshire countryside and there are 40 cabins surrounding the property, which the musician is believed to have hired for his guests to stay in after the celebrations.

Ahead of his birthday the 'Valerie' producer admitted he thinks he is “past my sell-by date” in terms of pop music, but joked that Pharrell Williams and Daft Punk are of a similar age and that “experience” could be the key.

He previously said: “I'm so far past my sell-by date of what pop music is supposed to be.

“But, if you look at it, Pharrell and Daft Punk are around that age. So maybe there's something to be said for experience.”
