London - Britney Spears once fired her now fiance Jason Trawick, according to her former associate Sam Lutfi.

Sam - who is now Courtney Love's manager and is currently suing the 'X Factor' judge and her parents for defamation and breach of contract - claims the 30-year-old star fired Jason in 2007 and didn't know if she ever wanted to work with him again.

According to RadarOnline, Sam told the jury on Tuesday (23.10.12): "Jason was her agent and at that point Britney was unsure if she wanted him to represent her again because Britney had fired him."

Sam also insisted in court that he had nothing to do with the 'Till The World Ends' singer's drug habit which was allegedly one of the main reasons for her meltdown in 2008 during which she lost custody of her two sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.

He admitted he takes Adderall for Attention Deficit Disorder twice a day but swore he never gave Britney any of his medication.

He said: "I never gave Britney Spears any drugs."

Sam is suing Britney for breach of contract claiming they agreed he would represent her for four years but her lawyer Joel Boxer says he was never legally her manager and has no grounds to sue for 15 percent of her earnings.

He is also suing Britney's father Jamie - who admitted last week that he was "scared to death" at the time of her psychiatric episode and thought she would never recover - for assault and her mother Lynne for defamation relating to comments in her memoir 'Through The Storm'.

Sam hit back at claims he took advantage of Britney and claims he did everything he could to protect her during her vulnerable period.

He said: "I would make rules with the press photographers and would tell them where we were going so they would save her a parking place." - Bang Showbiz
