October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and IOL visited Curves, which has partnered with PinkDrive's breast cancer campaign for the fourth time. Noelene Kotschan is CEO and Founder of PinkDrive and has expressed her excitement about the Curves and Pink Drive partnership.

Curves is an American franchise and its founders are internationally based. It has been around for the past ten years and they are planning their 10th year anniversary. Curves currently has 90 facilities all over South Africa and the owners are mostly women.

We were invited to take part in their fitness session which I fully enjoyed. I was impressed with how the club's facilities are designed specifically for a woman's body, targeting our problem areas. Kgomotso, our instructor, also showed us some Zumba moves which allowed us to feel sexy while burning fat.

We interviewed Amanda Coetsee, spokesperson for Curves, and she expressed her elation over today's event. She mentioned how Curves is planning to have clubs in under-developed areas for women who are unable to reach their centers. Curves is passionate about the health development of women and want to be able to reach out to every woman out there.

Curves offers a complete fitness and nutrition solution. The 30 minute workout exercises every major muscle group and burns up to 2000 kilojoules through a proven program of strength training, cardio and stretching. In addition, club promotions and events encourage women to support charitable causes, learn about health-related issues and forge lasting friendships as part of the global community.
