AS a singer with a worldwide following – not to mention being seen as a poster girl for curvy women – Beyonce must have known that her fans would be poring over her latest holiday snaps.
And sure enough, as soon as this picture of the bikini-clad star on the stairs of a private yacht was released, her legions of admirers zeroed in.
In a closer study of the photo, taken as she enjoyed a break with rapper husband Jay-Z to celebrate her 33rd birthday earlier this month, the steps behind her legs appear distorted – through a very visible ‘thigh gap’.
Fans quickly took to social media and accused Beyonce of editing the picture to make her legs look thinner before she shared it on her Tumblr account this week.
One fan said: ‘Questionable thigh gap there, Bey.’ Another said: ‘Notice the Photoshop error with the stairs between her legs! Why would Beyonce Photoshop herself?’
This is not unfamiliar territory for the star, who was accused of adding a thigh gap to a picture of her playing golf in a bikini in April.
There has been concern over the celebrity-driven focus on the thigh gap, with experts warning that girls who slim obsessively to achieve it risk developing eating disorders.
