Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are the world's highest-paid celebrity couple.

The 25-year-old singer-songwriter and the British DJ cumulatively earned as much as $146 million (R1.77bn) over the last 12 months, with their respective endorsement deals helping them to replace Jay Z and Beyonce at the top of Forbes magazine's annual list.

Taylor - who started dating her new beau in February - has endorsement deals with the likes of Sony and Keds, while Calvin, 31, has contracts with Giorgio Armani and Sol Republic.

Meanwhile, the magazine estimated Jay Z and Beyonce's combined earnings to have been $110.5 million, much of which stemmed from their money-spinning On the Run tour, which was the fifth highest grossing excursion of last year.

The 45-year-old rap star is also the owner of a number of successful businesses, including his own entertainment company, Roc Nation.

Beyonce, meanwhile, has her own fragrance line and endorsements with the likes of Pepsi and H&M.

Third place on the list went to country music stars Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, whose combined earnings struck $57 million last year.

Blake's finances were bolstered by him playing more than 40 solo gigs over the course of the year, while his wife enjoyed major success with her award-winning record 'Platinum'.
