Lindsay Lohan could never be regarded as any kind of role model, but her Hollywood looks still come in handy.
At least, that’s the thinking behind a rather bizarre episode concerning her estranged half-sister Ashley Horn.
Horn, who shares the same father as Lindsay, has spent $25 000 on plastic surgery in a bid to look like the Mean Girls star.
The 18-year-old, who has never had a relationship with her more famous sibling, underwent five procedures, including a nose job and fillers, in an attempt to capture Lindsay’s signature look.
“My goal was to look like Lindsay in her good days, when she was around 18, 19 years old,” Horn said in an interview with In Touch magazine.
In her humble opinion, the surgery was a success. Horn, who hopes to launch her own Hollywood career, triumphantly told the magazine that she looks better than Lindsay did back then.
“I'm hotter than Lindsay!” she boasted. “I have no problem saying that.”
One thing Horn will not be emulating is Lindsay’s chaotic lifestyle.
“I'm not Lindsay. I wasn't raised in that family,” she said. “I don't drink, do drugs or party. I like being a responsible person.”
Ashley rose to prominence in 2011, after it emerged that Michael Lohan had had an affair with her mom Kristi, while still married to Dina Lohan.
At the time the scandal broke, Lindsay claimed that she bore “no hard feelings” towards Ashley, but found the situation and Michael Lohan’s double-life “disgusting”. Later, in an interview with Good Morning America, she claimed that she wouldn’t be giving her half-sister any air-time.
Michael Lohan claims Ashley and her mother are publicity hungry.
“I suspect Kristi is behind the decision for Ashley to undergo all this surgery purely for publicity purposes,” he said.
“The crazy thing is Kristi is constantly complaining that she’s broke and yet she manages to pay out $25,000 for her 18-year-old daughter to undergo cosmetic surgery when it’s totally unneeded!
“I don’t know what is going through her head to do something like this… but if she thinks for some twisted reason it might help bring Ashley closer to Lindsay I can say for definite that it won’t—it will just push her further away.” - Tonight Reporter
