London - A man has been convicted of killing Usher's stepson.

'The Voice' USA judge was left devastated when his ex-wife's 11-year-old son, Kile Glover, was killed in a jet ski accident on a lake in Georgia in 2012.

The family's friend Jeffrey Hubbard, who was arrested last March, was found guilty of running over the boy in the water on Thursday (20.02.14).

He was convicted on five counts, including homicide by vessel, reckless operation and unlawful operation of a personal watercraft, according to gossip website TMZ.com.

Kile was sitting in an inner tube that was being towed behind a boat when Hubbard's jet ski crashed into him, while he was holidaying with his biological father Ryan Glover.

He suffered severe brain injuries that left him in a coma, and died almost three weeks after the crash in July 2012.

Shortly before the verdict was given, Tameka, who also has sons, Naviyd, five, and Usher Raymond V, six, with Usher, said: "There's no good outcome either way. If Jeff Hubbard is found guilty or innocent it will not bring my son back."

The 35-year-old singer and the former celebrity stylist went through a bitter divorce in 2009, but months after Kile's death Usher told Oprah Winfrey that he really missed his stepson.

The 'Scream' hitmaker said: "I miss Kile. We cooked together, we laughed, we sang. He loved to sing and dance. He loved to tell jokes." - Bang Showbiz
