He was once the “Baddest Man on the Planet”, and when Mike Tyson is on the dance floor, you really don’t want to get in his way.

The 48-year-old former undisputed heavyweight boxing champion entered into a different sort of match-up in Spike TV’s Lip-Sync Battle, miming and dancing to the Salt N Pepa hit, Push It.

Sporting a pair of black tights and the type of brightly coloured jacket favoured by the all-girl rap group in the 80s, Tyson explodes onto the stage in a high-energy routine, which also included back-up dancers and pyrotechnics.

At one point, it seemed as if Mike wasn’t even bothering with the correct lyrics, but some of his moves were so aggresive, it’s doubtful anyone would have wanted to take issue with him.

However, if there’s one person who probably won’t be intimidated by Iron Mike, it’s his Lip-Sync Battle opponent, Terry Crews. For those scratching their heads, he is the buff actor who put such a memorable spin on Vanessa Carlton’s hit song A Thousand Miles in the Wayans Brothers comedy White Girls.

Lip Sync Battle has been a surprise hit for the Spike Network on American cable TV, and is based on the game played with celebrities on The Tonight Show.

Ohter celebs who have joined in on the fun include Justin Bieber, who performed an Ozzy Osbourne song, The Rock, who attempted Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off, and Anne Hathaway, who came in like a Wrecking Ball in Miley Cyrus fashion.
