Rihanna’s fans have turned on her. The singer’s Diamonds World Tour has lost a lot of its shine due to Rihanna’s penchant for showing up late for concerts. In Manchester on Tuesday, fans made their feelings known after the singer reacted badly to a gift being thrown on stage.

Rihanna, who turned up an hour late for her performance, was pelted with chips during a rendition of her hit ‘Rude Boy’.

The 25-year-old pop star admonished the sell-out crowd, telling them to “cut that sh*t out,” but to little avail.

The argument kicked off when Rihanna addressed her fans after someone threw a gift to her.

“There’s a good crazy and there’s a bad crazy,” she said.

“When you throw s*** up here, that’s an epic fail. I wanna get your gifts but I don't want you to knock my people out.”

In response, disgruntled fans pelted the star with chips, prompting another rant from the singer.

“I swear to god, cut that s*** out. Really, chips? Chips though? That's that important?”

Funnily enough, the singer had applauded the craziness of the crowd when she took to the stage.

“I knew you were all going to be crazy but f***. This is next level,” she said.

Rihanna’s Diamonds Tour has been dogged by controversy. In June, she attacked a female member in the audience with her microphone after she felt the fan had been too touchy-feely.

Rihanna could learn plenty from the professionalism of Beyoncé, but even Queen Bey had to give her audience a talking-to over the weekend.

During a performance in Atlanta, Beyoncé chided a fan who was too busy taping her show to enjoy the moment.

Singing her hit “Irreplaceable”, Beyoncé interrupted her popular “to the left, to the left” refrain and demanded that the amateur cameraman join in.

“See, you can't even sing because you're too busy taping,” she said.

“I'm right in your face baby, you gotta seize this moment baby! Put that damn camera down!”

The man put his smartphone away and did as he was told.

“Yes, that's much better,” beamed Beyoncé.

However, Jay-Z’s better half wasn’t in such a good mood in May during the Denmark leg of her The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour.

Again, during a rendition of “Irreplaceable”, the singer interrupted her song to admonish a fan, but this time, there was nothing good-natured about her remarks.

Beyoncé was incensed when one male fan slapped her on her famous derriere, prompting this response: “I will have you escorted out right now, alright?” - IOL
