Johannesburg - South Africa’s new Miss World is home today.

She is to fly in to OR Tambo International on Saturday morning.

A press release says that various companies and the government have arranged a welcome for her.

“Sun International, Cell C, Lead SA, Brand SA and OR Tambo International Airport together with the Department of Sports and Recreation are arranging a heroes’ welcome for our first Miss World since 1974,” the release said.

“When we sent Rolene to London, we knew that she was an exceptional young woman, and that she would be representing an exceptional country, so we are not surprised but delighted that she took the crown,” said Claudia Henkel, spokesperson for Miss South Africa, on behalf of Sun International.
