Africa News Network (ANN7) today announced another addition to the spectacular line-up of artists for the upcoming South African of the Year (SATY) Awards. The theme this year will be "Unity in Diversity". The multi-award winning 11-piece South African Afropop band Mango Groove will be joining the star-studded line-up which features international superstar Jason Derulo and top local stars AKA, Mafikizolo, ChianoSky and The Soil.

Mango Groove has achieved more than 12 number-one hits in South Africa, and is the only band in South Africa's history with an album that remained in the sales charts for more than a year. Mango Groove has received nearly every South African music award and video award, as well as a number of international awards.

The SATY 2015 Awards will reflect the efforts of exceptional South Africans to unite South Africans as a nation, and be a celebration of the country’s diversity in pursuit of the ideals and dreams of Madiba and other struggle heroes. The function will be attended by various international guests and a Who’s Who of South African society.

Adding to the glitz and glamour are TV personality Minnie Dlamini, ex-Miss South Africa Cindy Nell, actor Masego "Maps" Maponyane and model-turned-businesswoman, Jo-Ann Strauss, who have been announced as the hosts of the SATY 2015 Awards show.

The Awards show will be broadcast live on 17 October. South Africans can be part of this year's SATY Awards by voting for the nominees in the various categories.
