Johannesburg - They’ve partied up a storm in almost every corner of the world. Now Geordie Shore stars Holly Hagan and Scott Timlin are looking forward to taking on Joburg’s night clubs.

Holly and her housemate, Scotty T as he is affectionately known, arrived in the country yesterday and are here to promote a new season of the British hit reality TV series broadcast on MTV.

Holly and Scott will also be in town to co-host MTV magazine show MTV Choice with Roxy Burger and Sade Giliberti, and to make personal appearances at the H20 dance music festival today.

Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, the show is the British spin-off of Jersey Shore.

Speaking to the Saturday Star yesterday Holly and Scott said they were looking forward to their stay in South Africa.

“It’s really wonderful to be here,” said Holly. “We have been looking forward to this trip for a very long time.”

Twenty-one-year-old Holly is a former call centre worker and aspiring singer who has been with Geordie Shore since series one.

After the success of the first series, Holly quit her office job and has since become well known in the UK for her thriving glamour modelling career.

On the other hand 24-year old Scott Timlin joined Geordie Shore in series four, and immediately started a bromance with fellow cast-member and womaniser Gaz.

“Although we have just been here for a day, it looks like a great country,” said Scott.

“The people seem very friendly so I look forward to partying up a storm with all the South African people.”

The two housemates will be in the country till Monday before jetting off back to the UK.

Scott says he is single and looking forward to mingling with the ladies.

“I definitely will be keeping my eyes out for some pretty South African girls,” he said.

Holly on the other hand says she is just looking forward to enjoying the nightlife in Joburg.

“We hear the parties are pretty great here so we cannot wait to go out,” said Holly.

The two will spend the day today at the H20 party in Boksburg at Wild Waters.

“We have heard plenty about this H20 party so we will be spending the day partying with all the lovely people of South Africa.”

Asked about their experience in the Geordie Shore House, Scott and Holly said it had been the most fun they have had in their lives.

“At first it’s difficult being put in a house with a bunch of strangers,” said Holly.

“We fought quite a bit amongst each other in the beginning, but we have all become like a family now.”

“I didn’t find it difficult to adapt at all,” said Scott.

“Before entering the house I knew all the members aside from Holly. Before entering the Geordie Shore house I was a club promoter so I knew the whole bunch.”

The two are joined by Gary Beadle (Gaz), Charlotte Letitia Crosby, Vicky Pattison James Tindale, Marnie Simpson, Sophie Kasaei, and Ricci Guarnaccio in the show.

Scott said his favourite housemate has to be Gaz, while Holly said she got along best with Charlotte and Sophie.

Geordie Shore is filled with drunken antics, lots of partying and plenty of sex scenes.

What did Scott’s and Holly’s parents have to say about them featuring in such a show?

“My parents were cool with it,” said Holly.

“They were young once upon a time too so they know exactly what goes on. They were happy for me as I was doing well for myself.”

Scott, who is known for his womanising antics said his dad thinks he is a “legend”.

“My dad is actually really proud of me,” said Scott. “My grandparents haven’t watched the show, but as for my family they just really proud and happy.”

With the UK already in season seven, Scott said fans can look forward to more madness.

“We have been called back to shoot another series so there’s plenty more fun still to come,” he said.

Season five of Geordie Shore will premiere on MTV (DStv Channel 130) on October 1 at 9.15pm
