The second coming just hit a speed bump ... well, where Reason is concerned in any case.

The South African rapper managed to raise more than just a few eyebrows with an image depicting Jesus Christ wearing shades, with two naked women slung over each of his shoulders. You can view the image here.

“Reazus Christ is c*mming” read the words accompanying the picture, but some of the rapper’s followers where horrified, accusing Reason of blasphemy and desperation.

"You just lost a die hard avid fan ... I will not buy this,” said one fan  .

Another commented: “bhekani_n@reasonhd_ this is being too desperate. Total #blasphemy! Total lack of originality (Yeezus - Reazus). This might stir up all the attention you wanted but you've lost me kid. Had much respect for your art and you as an individual.”

But Reason was unrepentant. He went on to explain his appropriation of Kanye West’s Yeezus shock tactic as thus:

“In an age where many powerful structures and bodies of control choose and dictated to the world what the truth was, the “new generations” constant urge to question their perspectives has always been a result of them discovering new ones.

“Moving into the future, one often finds themself in conflict with their present self, based on previous notions we had of ourselves that were based in the future. Which is now the present.

“Growing up as a kid, i was given the tools and weapons to protect myself from the evils of this world. I've since gone through a roller coaster of experiences that have tainted that innocent and angelic image they were trying to protect, and it has left me with new truths.

“At 1pm on Friday the 24th of July, I will present to you a few new truths.

“Not YOUR truth. Not THE truth. But A truth.

“MY truth.

“Spread the word.

“And this image of my truth.

“#ReazusChristIsC*mmin”.

Just after midday today, the rapper posted another message, which read like a rap, in response to the outcry over his Reazus image:

"Son of God like Jesus is...

But I hide behind my shades cause I'm way too promiscuous.

Too obssessed with ass, I wonder who expected that?

All I ask is now that I have told you, what you take me as?"

- Reazus Christ
