Corey Haim will not have a public memorial, according to his best friend Corey Feldman.
The late Canadian actor's mother, Judy Haim, has decided to have a small dinner with close friends to remember her son - who tragically passed away from an accidental drugs overdose last month - rather than a large public service.
Writing on his blog, Feldman said: "Now I must be the bearer of some very disappointing news to many of you out there.
"After weeks of consideration and planning, the ultimate decision has been made by Corey's mother Judy Haim to not go forward with a public memorial service. Instead we will have a very small private dinner with just a few close friends in Los Angeles."
Feldman revealed Judy's tremendous grief means she doesn't feel able to handle a large public remembrance for the Lost Boys actor.
Feldman added: "She is in tremendous grief and feels that to create an event celebrating Corey's life would be too much for her to bear at this time.
"She did ask me to convey to you that she has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of your support and wants you to keep Corey alive by visiting his website at www.coreyhaim.us."
Feldman - who starred alongside Haim in two films and reality series The Two Coreys - also spoke of his own feelings at the loss of his friend, who had struggled with drug addiction for years prior to his death, saying he "stayed indoors crying every day for two weeks," and criticised paparazzi photographers for following him in the wake of his loss.
He added: "The second I leave my house they follow me, then make a spectacle, and then berate me for trying to get out of the house and live my life."
