Where’s Stedman? That was the question on everyone’s lips when talk show queen Oprah Winfrey attended Tina Turner’s wedding in Switzerland over the weekend.
Instead, Oprah’s date for the celebration was best friend Gayle King – who is Oprah’s companion of choice when it comes to holidays and camping trips. With long term partner Stedman Graham once again missing in action, Oprah and Gayle were spotted engaging in a brisk, exercise walk, before making their way to an intimate civil ceremony where Turner and German music executive Erwin Bach exchanged wedding vows.
The couple, who have been an item for 26 years, then hosted a lavish reception party for which 70 000 roses were flown in from the Netherlands. Singer Bryan Adams provided the entertainment at the event, which Oprah couldn’t contain her excitement about.
“This is going to be a memorable party,” she said prior to the reception. - IOL
