Brad Pitt will introduce Rihanna at her Diamond ball next month.

The 'We Found Love' hitmaker is thrilled to have the support of the 'Fury' actor and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel - who will host the inaugural event - at the gala, which is raising money for the singer's Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) and takes place on December 11.

She said in a statement: “It is such an honour to have Jimmy Kimmel host this event. There is no one more hilarious to make the first annual Diamond Ball an incredible night. I'm blessed by his support.

''Brad Pitt is not only a phenomenal talent, but I admire him and am inspired by his philanthropic work.”

Around 600 guests will attend the ball, which will take place at the private 157-acre The Vineyard in Beverly Hills, and as well as a performance from Rihanna - who will be backed by an orchestra - they will also enjoy a live auction and a celebratory dinner.

Rihanna's CLF is named in honour of her grandparents Clara and Lionel Braithwaite and works globally to improve the lives of underserved communities in the arts, culture, education, and health.

In 2012, the 26-year-old singer helped found the Clara Braithwate Center for Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in her native Barbados after her grandmother lost her battle with the disease, and some funds raised at the ball will go towards financing improvements at the clinic. - BANG Showbiz
