British Prince Harry visited the Ottery Youth Development Centre on Monday as part of his tour around South Africa.

The aim of this event was to interact with the learners at the centre and give back to the community.

He spent time feeding the ducks and chickens at the centre as part of his walk about around the facility.

Upon his entrance to the main hall Prince Harry was greeted by various learners and community members from Ottery.

The principal of the youth centre Mr Mo Mahadick was delighted at the presence of the British Prince.

"These kids come from poor communities and places with a lot of violence where there aren't many role models, said Mohadick."

"Prince Harry's entire visit was about spending time with the children. I was really touched by his ability to connect with the kids, he said."

12-year-old "Lee" handed over a gift to Prince Harry which was a picture of the Prince on his mothers shoulder as a baby.

The picture was printed on a piece of pine wood and presented to the Prince from the arts and culture students.

He spent time shaking hands and getting to know some of the students at the centre and wished them well for for their schooling.
