Johannesburg - On Thursday Queen B, known to you as Bonang Matheba, set social media abuzz when she was taken around for a day by Maybach as part of their lifestyle series, MBLife.

The charming Queen B, whose ex, DJ Euphonik was, on the same day, promoting Mini Cooper, teased her legions of followers on Twitter when she breathlessly tweeted: “Inside my Mercedes-Maybach S500! Queen B #bonangformblife,” she wrote.

It was intriguingly electrifying that Queen B had bought such a luxurious and expensive beast.

But it was simply a daytrip, with her kitted out in a sharply cut prêt-a-porter ultramarine pants-and-jacket suit complemented by a snowy white camisole. She received the adulation she craves from her followers.

Said Zoe Masutwana, one of Matheba’s ever-growing team of spokespersons: “Bonang is a huge fan of the Mercedes-Benz brand. She currently owns two of their cars and as one of their VIP clients she gets to play around with their latest toys, as she did with the Maybach.”

Mercedes-Benz SA had written in their blog, mblife.co.za: “MBLife joins Bonang Matheba for a day to find out about her five-star, VIP lifestyle. And what better way to travel around Joburg than in the ultra-luxurious, chauffeur-driven Mercedes-Maybach.”

Accompanying her was her hanger-on-cum-friend, the Peter Pan-like choreographer and dancer, Somizi Mhlongo. However, Matheba, whose imperious air jars with the glamorous image she seeks to create, dazzled.

She enjoyed the MBLife of being chauffeured around, but

would not, however, answer whether she is considering acquiring one for herself.

“It would be quite a feat were she to be chauffeured down the N3 highway from Joburg to Durban to visit her parents. But for a day, Matheba received the royal treatment that suits her Queen B status,” read the Mercedes-Benz press release.
