Courtney Love reportedly owes her psychiatrist over $48 000 (about R575 000).
The Hole rocker is the subject of a lawsuit from Dr Edward Ratush, an “addiction psychiatrist” who deals with “opiate dependence and treatment-resistant depression, who filed papers in Manhattan Supreme Court last week in which he claims she has an outstanding bill for $48 250 for their sessions, the New York Post reports.
It is not clear how many sessions the bill covers, or how long it has been outstanding.
The therapist is a fan of alternative therapies, with his LinkedIn profile stating he offers trans-cranial magnetic stimulation – magnetic fields that stimulate nerve cells in the brain – and has an interest in “spiritual interventions” for addicts, as well as looking forward to being a part of research which uses “psychedelic drugs” to treat addiction.
