Rumer Willis, 26, was left feeling “awful” by online bullies.
The eldest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore juggled working part-time at a Marc Jacobs boutique with acting and voice lessons and auditioning for roles after leaving college, but still felt judged for her looks and celebrity parents.
She said: “It was hard. I would read that stuff and feel awful. I thought, ‘I don’t even get a chance?’ People still don’t necessarily know that I work – they just have opinions.”
The star admits she was sometimes “ill-prepared” for life in the spotlight.
She told People magazine: “I would go to an event and didn’t realise I needed to do my make-up. Online, people started getting ugly. People say: ‘You signed up for this, you’re an actor’, but I used to take it really personally.”
