Brooke Shields is happiest when entertaining at home.
The 50-year-old actress loves opening up her stunning 1920's Long Island cottage - which she and husband Chris Henchy bought in 2013 for $4.3 million - to friends and revealed she has become a cocktail-making pro.
She told Better Homes and Gardens: “I make a super refreshing cucumber vodka with muddled lime and agave. I love it when we are all on the front porch and friends ride their bikes over with a bottle of wine.”
The beach cottage has six bedrooms, a pool and half an acre of land.
While Brooke and Chris spent most of their time on the east coast, she admitted her décor was slightly inspired by Los Angeles, where they also have a home.
She explained: “I always like just a touch of Hollywood glamour.”
Brooke's home features a combination of inherited pieces of furniture from her mother, flea market finds and classic items.
She said: “I decided I could use some of my mother's pieces and still get the look I wanted. They just needed tweaks.
“I love, love, love tag and estate sales, flea markets, auctions. I can envision the transformation of anything.”
Brooke and Chris, who have children Rowan, 12, and Grier, nine, own a five bedroom, five-and-a-half bathroom property in Los Angeles.
However, they have reportedly rented it out to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner for $30,000 a month as they are spending most of their time in New York.
