Just three days after the one-time rap mogul suffered six bullet wounds at a pre-VMA party shooting, he has been released from hospital.
The 49-year-old former CEO of Death Row Records, was hit five times in the chest and stomach area, and once in his arm. According to gossip site TMZ, Knight was released from the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles yesterday morning and will not require any rehab treatment.
Singer Chris Brown was also at the club at the time of the shooting, and rumours suggested that the RnB bad boy was the intended target. However, investigators have since said that the gunman was aiming for Knight.
“Video shows the suspect with a handgun firing at Knight [and] striking the two other victims who were in his vicinity,” said Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. John Corina.
Another video, taken outside the club, shows Knight being led outside by an armed police officer, before he asks for help. According to sources at the scene, Knight calmly walked outside before being taken away by ambulance.
Suge has since refused to cooperate with police.
On Monday, his family released this statement: “The family of Suge Knight asks that you keep Suge in your prayers and to stray away from the negativity portrayed by the media. Suge is currently resting and has lost a lot of blood, he's human. He's done a lot of things for the community and the culture as a whole so we ask that you respect that.” - BANG Showbiz
