Sofia Vergara has split from her fiance.
The Modern Family actress has confirmed she and Nick Loeb - who she got engaged to in 2012 - have called time on their relationship after they struggled to balance their professional and personal lives together.
Writing on her WhoSay profile, she revealed: “Not that anyone should care, but in order to not give the press the chance to invent crazy and hurtful drama, I prefer to tell my fans personally that Nick and I have desired to be apart.
“We have been having too many problems with figuring out how to spend time together and because of my work and now his, it's been getting worse and worse, not fun anymore.
“We are still very close but we believe is the best thing for us right now. (sic)”
The 41-year-old actress - who has a 21-year-old son, Manolo from her first marriage to Joe Gonzalez - previously spoke in February when the couple were planning their wedding, and admitted at the time they had nothing set in stone.
She had said: We have been engaged for over a year and we still haven't decided what we want to do for our wedding.
“He's letting me handle things and I'm not sure if I want to do something big like I did for my 40th birthday. It was so much fun but takes a lot of time and planning.
“I haven't made up my mind yet but I can see myself doing something very small and intimate with my closest relatives and friends.” - Bang Showbiz
