3Talk is no more. After 13 years on air, the chat show hosted by Noeleen Maholwana-Sangqu has been dropped from the programme roster.
In a statement, Noeleen reflected on her time on the show: “When we started the show, I could never have imagined that we would have such an enduring relationship with viewers. I have had the most fabulous 12 years on 3Talk. It’s been an amazing adventure which has brought so much fun and meaning into my life, but after a lot of thought, I think it’s time for me to bid farewell.”
According to the SABC, the decision to can the 3Talk show was mutual, with Noeleen opting to take a break from our screens.
But the rumour mill is already in full swing, with insiders suggesting that Noeleen was left with no other option following a disastrous decline in viewership ratings and the success of programmes like Katch It With Khanyi.
The final 3Talk episode will air on April 20.
