Raised on the mean, green streets of Constantia, Cape Town, a young Nik Rabinowitz grew up on a farm, commentating on his own rugby games in at least three of South Africa’s 11 official languages. After leaving university with a business degree, he travelled Southern Africa with a theatre company and a herd of donkeys, inspiring a foray into stand-up comedy. Over the next 10 years, he established himself as a premiere comedy act, well known for his multilingual satire. Rabinowitz plays a legion of characters on ZA News and is internationally recognised as the world’s leading Xhosa-speaking Jewish comedian.
