THE BIG BANG THEORY

(Season 7)

***

The theory behind socially-awkward nerds!

WHILE Chuck Lorre’s Two and a Half Men comes to an end, his other magnum opus, The Big Bang Theory, has proved to be a successful experiment on viewers.

And it continues to make its presence felt at all the prestigious TV ceremonies in Hollywood.

Also, it’s geek lunacy at its best as a group of genius scientists navigate their way through life and relationships.

Of course, Sheldon Cooper, the smartest in the group, tops the scale when it comes to being rigid. His life is centred on tangible scientific facts. This, of course, does make things difficult in the relationship department as he has the romantic disposition of an iceberg. His lack of emotional intelligence has reduced him to an unwittingly sarcastic person. That said, though, he has quite the adventure this season; from partying with James Earl Jones to bonding (well, almost) with his idol – Professor Proton, played by Bob Newhart, while also making a scientific breakthrough.

Meanwhile, Leonard is back from his North Sea expedition and Penny and he are looking at taking their relationship to the next step, amid a few hilarious stumbling blocks, of course. Howard confronts his personal demons when it comes to the women in his life, while Raj finds the courage to approach the opposite sex.

The Big Bang Theory is laden with situation comedy, brilliant lines and a fantastic cast.
