Johannesburg - Eating Prada and Barker and even Jefferson Sibeko and Ma Agnes was somewhat weird but fun when Isidingo celebrated their 15th year on Thursday night in at Kat's Palace in Sandton.
The idea behind the celebration was a fifteen course meal based on 15 characters in the soap opera. Barker was nitrogen poached meringues with Vodka and lime with citrus glass shards. This was to represent both the cutting edge and cold nature of Mr Barker Haines.
Jefferson's meal was delicious! Tomato espuma, chillil dukkah, pickled squid topped with a dried flower salad. This was to represent Jefferson's strength beneath his silence.
The talkative, cheeky Lerato's meal was classic veloute of seafood with edible sea sand. Bizarre, in a Hester Blomenthal way.
Nikiwe's glamorous meal was olive caviar with champagne jelly and creme fraiche custard.
Grey Goose provided jelly miniature cocktail taste experiences.
