London - Joan Rivers is to appear on 'Celebrity Apprentice'.

The late star, who died last week aged 81, filmed two episodes of the NBC reality TV series as show host Donald Trump's advisor before she passed away, and he admits she was "great" on the programme.

He wrote on Twitter: "We just finished shooting a new season of Celebrity Apprentice and happily for all, Joan plays my advisor in two episodes. (sic)"

It will not be the first time the late comedienne has appeared on the show as she triumphed on the programme in 2009.

Joan won season eight with her daughter Melissa Rivers, beating off competition from the likes of Khloe Kardashian and former basketball star Dennis Rodman.

What's more, 'Fashion Police' host also appeared on 'All-Star Celebrity Apprentice' as a guest judge in the 2012/2013 season.

She appeared in several other reality TV shows including 'Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack' and 'How'd You Get So Rich?'.

Joan passed away on September 4 after falling into a coma in hospital, where she had been admitted for a throat procedure.

Melissa confirmed her mother died last week, saying in a statement: "It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my mother.

"She passed peacefully at 1:17 p.m. surrounded by family and close friends. My son and I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mount Sinai Hospital for the amazing care they provided for my mother." - BANG Showbiz
