By night, unseen evil stirs beyond their campfire's light. By day, chilling ritualistic figures are discovered nearby.

As the end of their journey approaches, they realise that what they are filming is not the legend of the film title, which they set out to investigate, but their own descent into unimaginable horror.

Sticking with Sunday - recording stars Michael Bolton, Patti LaBelle, Nick Lachey, Kelly Rowland and Blake Shelton have set themselves a challenge to create the greatest choir in the US in Clash of the Choirs, premiering on SABC2 at 8pm on Sunday.

The show's aim is to find fantastic voices and turn amateurs into professionals

"The famous entertainers are tasked to bring together 20 gifted vocalists from their respective hometowns, and |in a limited amount of time |are expected to mould these individual raw talents into a single and harmonious singing group." says a spokesman for SABC2.

"Documenting everything from the nerve-wracking audition process, the strenuous vocal training, and the tensions between the contestants and celebrity team leaders, Clash of the Choirs is a pitch-perfect reality competition series that will have the whole family singing its praises."

Grammy Award-winner and songwriter Michael Bolton goes back to his hometown of New Heaven in Connecticut in search of vocal talent, while popular R&B songbird Patti LaBelle looks for talent in her hometown of Philadelphia.

Kelly Rowland, co-founder of two-time Grammy-winning group Destiny's Child, goes back to Houston, Texas, to nurture talent.
