Tameka Foster claims R&B star Usher is faking his grief over the death of his stepson Kyle Glover. The 11-year-old boy, Foster’s son with Atlanta-based clothier Ryan Glover, was buried last week after a tragic jet-ski accident on July 6. After a desperate battle to save his life, he was eventually taken off life-support.

In the aftermath, Usher requested that his August 13 custody hearing with Tameka be delayed. He claimed that going to court so soon after the tragedy would cause “unnecessary stress and strain” for everyone involved. He also reportedly fears that the court may rule in favour of a grieving mother. Usher and Foster were divorced in 2009, sparking a bitter custody battle for their sons Usher Raymond V (four-years-old) and Naviyd (three-years-old).

According to TMZ, however, Foster is opposed to Usher’s attempt to delay the court proceedings, claiming that the singer is using her son’s death in a bid to win sympathy.

In subsequent filings to the court, Foster alleges that Usher’s attempt to delay the hearing are “simply a transparent sham” and that his feelings for her late son are “bogus”.

According to Foster, Usher only visited the little boy once during his two weeks on life support. She also claims that he refused to tweet a request to “Please pray for Kile”, and sent out a picture of his breakfast instead.

In response to Usher’s request, Foster has asked that the hearing be moved forward, so that she can “move on” from the tragedy.
