London - Usher's son is out of hospital after he nearly drowned last week.

The 'Climax' singer's five-year-old, Usher Raymond V, was rushed to the emergency room after getting his hand stuck in a swimming pool drain at the star's Atlanta home last week, but has now been discharged and appears to be doing well.

The youngster was spotted enjoying a day of fun and games with his grandmother, Jonetta Patton, and four-year-old brother Naviyd at children's play centre Mighty Jumps in Atlanta yesterday (12.08.13).

Although he is now out of any immediate danger, young Usher V was seen wearing a large bandage on his right arm, covering his injuries as they heal.

Usher's ex-wife, Tameka Raymond, 42, recently appealed to a judge to give her primary custody of Usher V and Naviyd following the scary incident, but her request was denied.

Tameka - who was married to Usher between 2007 and 2009 - filed an emergency motion for guardianship, citing Usher V's "near-death accident" as proof of lack of supervision of the children on the singer's part, as he wasn't home at the time of the accident.

Usher's aunt, Rena, was looking after the two boys when the accident occurred. Usher V was saved by a contractor doing work at the home, who pulled him to safety and gave him Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

The 'Scream' hitmaker was awarded primary custody of the couple's two sons in August 2012 following a bitter three-year custody battle. - Bang Showbiz
