Auditions:

The State Theatre is looking to train up-and-coming performers through its musical theatre programme, The Studio. Part of The Studio is a dynamic musical theatre performance training programme, TTT (Towards the Triple Threat), which gives budding performers who seek a professional career in musical theatre a dense training experience. This involves a strong skill-set of acting, singing and dancing. The TTT is an intensive 10-month programme with compulsory daily attendance (weekdays from 9am to 5pm) which, upon completion, will enable the budding performers with the required skill-set to competently perform in a professional theatre environment or to graduate to the main programme of The Studio, the Professional Performers Programme (PPP). TTT training will at at times involve extended training workshops and strategic interactions with the professional performers from the PPP. Admission to the TTT is by audition only, and those auditions will be held until tomorrow. For more info, call Paul Grootboom at 012 392 4000 or e-mail [email protected].
