Gig of the week: Vodacom Unlimited Festival
Today, 3pm
Whatever happened to Mo, the Vodacom puppet who used to make us laugh in those party adverts? With a party as big as the Vodacom Unlimited Festival today, Mo would have shown us some amazing party moves.
Hosted in Johannesburg at Orlando Stadium, the show will be synchronised via satellite to other parts of the country including Cape Town, Durban and PE.
A number of performances to entertain us will come from New York’s Louie Vega, Black Coffee, DJ Tira, Vinny da Vinci, Christos, Liquideep and Culoe de Song. These are only the ones we know of, but the list of performers is seemingly endless.
About 20 000 people are expected to come and join in the fun so park-and-ride facilities will be provided from Nasrec. So with the rides safe the only thing on everyone’s mind will be getting the party started.
