THE BARNYARD THEATRE: Platinum Jukebox is a journey of song and dance that covers every dance craze in the history of recorded music from the 1920s, ending with the iPod in the 21st century. The cast consists of Percy Smith, Kyle Matthews, Nontu Xulu and Peyton Amber on vocals; Barry Thomson on guitar and vocals; Dawn Selby on keyboards; Fresh Monanyane on bass guitar; Michael Ramasimong on drums; and dancers Duane Joaquim (also host) and Charlene Hendricks. RAJPUT HALL (CHATSWORTH): Comedians The Dingalings take their adult comedy, 50 Shades of Funny, to Chatsworth. Featuring Henry Ramkisoon, Koobeshen Naidoo, Senzo Mthethwa, Melvyn David and Arnotte Payne, the show carries an 18 age restriction. THE PLAYHOUSE: Get a window into the world of Russian culture when Crown of the Russian Ballet’s 175th Tchaikovsky Anniversary Celebrations graces the Playhouse Opera on Tuesday, April 28 and Wednesday, 29 at 7.30pm. The programme opens with the world premiere of the company’s artistic director Anatoly Emelianov’s new production of one of Tchaikovsky’s one-act ballets, Manfred. The second half features a suite from The Sleeping Beauty featuring the original Marius Petipa choreography and the one-act Romeo and Juliet choreographed by Emelianov.
