SIBAYA CASINO, Izulu Theatre: Kama Sutra 2: Come Again sees Karou Charou (pictured below) tackle sex and sexuality as he takes on the role of a “sex coach”. The turbaned one is set to encourage “talk”, advising couples to “ask and thou shalt receive”; plans to introduce the “art” of role play and will expound on the pro’s and cons of internet porn – among other aspects. The show is rated for over 18s and adults only, with a warning that “sensitive people, with no pulse” should stay at home. Friday to Sunday at 8pm on Friday and Saturday, 3pm on Sunday. THE PLAYHOUSE: Mashu: The Musical is based on a true event that took place in a community between 1994 and1995, a time of much violence in KwaMashu’s L section. It tells of the trials of two brothers who are caught up in the madness that shattered the lives of this community. The cast includes popular and award-winning local actors Wiseman Ncube and Mthokozisi Zulu as the leads. It also features Thabo Mnguni, famously known for his role as Bra Steve on the SABC 1’s Family Bonds. Stages from March 18 to 22. Book at Computicket. COURTYARD THEATRE:The Durban University of Technology stages the iconic Lionel Bart evergreen, Oliver!, based on the Charles Dickens classical novel, which comes to the DUT Courtyard Theatre from March 22 to 28 March. Oliver! boasts a host of much-loved songs: Food Glorious food; Oliver!; Consider Yourself; You’ve got to Pick a Pocket or Two; As Long as He Needs Me; I’d Do Anything and Omm- Pah-Pah. THE PLAYHOUSE: Audiences will be given a window into the world of Russian culture when Crown of the Russian Ballet’s 175th Tchaikovsky Anniversary Celebrations grace stages on April 28 and 29 at 7.30pm. The programme opens with the world premiere, the company’s artistic director Anatoly Emelianov’s new production of one of Tchaikovsky’s masterpieces, the one-act ballet, Manfred. The second half features two favourites – a suite from The Sleeping Beauty featuring the original Marius Petipa choreography and the one-act Romeo and Juliet choreographed by Emelianov.
