THE BARNYARD THEATRE: Presents 99 Hits until October 12. Expect 99 hit songs in one two-hour show. Watch how Elvis takes on Cliff Richard, Cher takes on Mick Jagger, and how Katy Perry takes on Miley Cyrus. The cast consists of five vocalists – Andrew Webster, Marvin Nethononda, Lee Paver, Caelee Vercuiel and Jean Juliet while the band includes Joe du Toit (guitar), Calli Thomson (keyboard), Kelly Joubert (bass guitar) and Nelis du Plessis (drums). CATALINA THEATRE: Air Guitar is back with a new-look cast until Friday. Written and directed by Themi Venturas, this show features Clinton Philander along with ace guitarist Barry Thompson and Cuan Austin in the role of the Young Guitarist. Backing the three frontmen is Dawn Selby, with Mali Sewell on drums and Jason Andrew on bass. Air Guitar tells the tale of a South African who, upon realising that he has not done much with his life, and quickly approaching his 50s, decides to enter the Air Guitar World Championships in Finland. Nightly from Thursday to Sunday and matinees on Saturday and Sunday. Book at Computicket.

THE PLAYHOUSE: Amambazo the Musical runs until Sunday. In October last year, Ladysmith Black Mambazo made history by launching the musical which tells the journey of this legendary group. Directed by Edmund Mhlongo, Amambazo the Musical boasts a cast of 25 along with a six-piece band and members of Ladysmith Black Mambazo. ELIZABETH SNEDDON THEATRE: Andre the Hilarious Hypnotist returns from Friday until September 28. Wednesday to Saturday at 7.30pm, and 3pm on Sunday. R90 (Wednesdays and Thursdays) and R100 (Saturdays to Sundays) at Computicket.

THE PLAYHOUSE, Opera: The annual showcase of Shall We Dance ends on Saturday. The glitzy showcase features Latin, Argentinian tango and line dancing, belly dancing, modern and ballroom. The highlight will be the three acts from Joburg, including Gerhard van Rooyen and Amor Kruger who will ignite the stage with the kind of dance where Van Rooyen picks up Kruger and very cleverly throws her into the air – almost an acrobatic duo with lots of balance and trust involved. HILTON COLLEGE: KZN’s premier arts festival, the 22nd annual Witness Hilton Arts Festival, will take place at Hilton College in the KZN Midlands from September 18 to 21. The festival invites the best of what is hot and happening in the creative industries in South Africa: theatre, dance, comedy, musical theatre, family theatre, classical and other music as well as a series of mindscape lectures and discussions. SIBAYA CASINO, IZulu Theatre: The show One Nite Stand, written and performed by Mervyn Pillay, makes a comeback. It is his first solo hit stand-up comedy show. The show is filled with the many experiences Pillay has had as a boy, son, father, son-in-law and South African Indian. One Night Only carries an adults only, no under-18 restriction.
