ONE of South Africa’s biggest food and music extravaganzas, the not-to-be-missed DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival, will make its debut in Cape Town on December 28.

As a complement to a feast of tantalising food, world-class entertainment will be provided by UK acid jazz and funk pioneers Brand New Heavies and British club favourites Soul II Soul. They will be joined by local acts Freshlyground, MiCasa and The Soil, along with folk artist Jeremy Loops, in a day-long feast of food and music, aimed at those with a sense of adventure and a passion for the tastier side of life.

Visitors will be able to experience flavourful local street food at a gourmet market with a variety of food booths, mobile kitchens and food trucks to choose from.

Festivalgoers also have the choice of dining at the pop-up Delicious Restaurant, hosted by award-winning chef Garth Stroebel, or to try beef at an authentic Argentinian BBQ.

Hamilton’s Rugby Club and surrounding common fields in Greenpoint will host this banquet of food and music.
