• Magnet Theatre present a once-off performance of Umthi/Boom/Tree, their multi-lingual children’s production, on October 28 and November 1 at 11am. It is a delicate, tender performance about the relationship between a man and a tree and the seasons, aimed at children aged between three and seven years old. The performance is 30 minutes long followed by 15 minutes of carefully led participation with the young audience members. • Undone ends November 1 at the Artscape Theatre Centre. A bewitching and sensual story of a boy and his dysfunctional family. 7.30pm. R55 to R90 at Computicket.

• The sister and brother duo, Avigail and Ammiel Bushakevitz, violin and piano respectively, appear in the Cape Town Concert Series on Saturday at the Baxter Concert Hall. The pair, both working in Germany, will play a programme celebrating some of their favourite pieces played over the past year. 8pm. R125 at Computicket.

• Chomi runs from Thursday to October 31 at the Artscape Theatre. A play set in Joburg that follows the lives of four black openly gay 20-something men. 7.30pm. R55 to R90 at Computicket.

• Thumbelina runs from Friday to November 1 at the Artscape Theatre Centre. As part of The Cape Town City Ballet’s 80th birthday celebrations, artistic director Robin van Wyk choreographed a new children’s production. 7.30pm. R70 to R120 at Computicket.

• The Marriage of Figaro ends Saturday at the Artscape Theatre. Cape Town Opera’s production of WA Mozart’s comic masterpiece of impetuous love, The Marriage of Figaro (Le Nozze di Figaro). • Jeeves and Wooster – Perfect Nonsense ends November 8 at the Theatre on the Bay. When a country weekend getaway takes a turn for the worse, Bertie Wooster is unwittingly called on to play matchmaker, but also to steal a creamer from Totleigh Towers. • Athol Fugard’s Hello and Goodbye ends Saturday at the Alexander Bar, CBD. Set in the 1960s against a gritty Port Elizabeth, it tells the story of two dirt-poor white South Africans, an estranged brother and sister, who meet again after 12 years. 7pm. R90. Call 021 300 1088.
