Cape Town - Whitney Houston fans can once again appreciate the singer’s unique talent in a tribute dubbed The Greatest Love of All, at the GrandWest Grand Arena on Friday January 10 at 8pm.

Houston died in 2012, leaving behind a hefty songbook of memorable anthems. As one of the most celebrated female singers of her time, with hits such as I Will Always Love You, Saving All My Love for You and How Will I Know, Houston struck a chord with music lovers far and wide.

The upcoming The Greatest Love Of All – The Whitney Houston Show celebrates her catalogue of hit songs spanning her 29-year career.

In respect of Houston’s legacy, Showtime Management dedicated a year to create the show, first to finding the perfect star, and then to perfecting the production.

It took over 15 000 auditions in 12 countries to find the right voice, and South African Belinda Davids emerged as the frontrunner.

Davids began her professional career as a solo recording artist and later became a support act and backing vocalist for The Temptations, Keri Hilson, Keyshia Cole, Monica and Johnny Gil.

Davids is a dedicated Whitney Houston fan, and has always loved the deceased songbird’s music.

Direction is by John van Grinsven, who is joined on tour by artistic director Kenny Wizz, musical director Dale Scheepers and Purple Ear Production’s director Jon van Grinsven Jr.
